This is a short Alto Sax feature, just a little over 3 minutes. I started this song about 10 years ago for a good friend of mine. She didn't like the chorus, it was a little but too happy for what she was trying to do. I tried other versions but could never find anything that fit. The melody is very loose. I think of rappers and how their verses and choruses seem to revolve around ideas more than very structured melodies. So I had some ideas that I improvised around.The chorus is pretty much intact, but not an exact repitition.
I don't think I'll submit this song for reviews anywhere because I know what will be said about the composition.
I did try some different mastering and mixing approaches than what I usually use. Hopefully it's an improvement
I wanted a keyboard solo to contarst with the sax that is the rest of the song. I thought about Herbie Hancock and Headhunters when I did this. Of course, I wouldn't dream of putting myself in that league, but I did hear that when doing this.
